A gray schist figure of seated Buddha, Gandhara culture, Kushana's period circa. 300 A.D from Peshawar region-North-west of Pakistan. Despite missing of his both hands, its appeared to be Depicting in the act of teaching, seated in Dhyanasana on a pedestal with his right hand in abhaya mudra and his left hand catching the end of his pleated sanghati.His oval face carved with long almond-shaped eyes and pursed lips with mustache, and his hair arranged in incised ridges terminating in a domed ushnisha and visible tilk ( third eye/ eye of wisdom ) on his forehead.
Height= 36cm Wheight=8.7kg,Condition= His face has been chopped out and refixed, one additional crack from top of the head towards half face, having dubble ancient holes remaining on the top of the head and on the rear of the head, his right knee down to the base is chopped out, repaired from neck.
